Will power is the control exerted to do something or restrain impulses.
We use it to stop indulging in the food and drink that are responsible for our current weight.
Will power is the self control that we harness in order to stop ourselves from doing things we desire.
Will power is like trying to hold an inflated beach ball under water.
You can push it under. It will disappear for a while but you can’t hold it under there forever. Eventually it will pop up and out of the water!
Does it sound familiar? You start a diet. You follow the diet. You use all your will power to eat only what is on the diet. But your will power doesn’t last. You end up giving in, breaking your diet.
