You have too much insulin in your body. Insulin is a storage hormone. When you have too much of it in your body, your body cannot use fat as fuel.
The insulin also effects the presence and effectiveness of two other hormones – leptin and ghrelin. These two hormones lets us know when we are full, and when we are hungry. They cause overhunger.
